Conclusion: If isolated neurosarcoidosis is diagnosed early it will save a costly and invasive work-up. Radiographic and laboratory studies may aid in diagnosis but no studies are pathognomonic. Neurosarcoidosis is diagnosed by a combination of imaging, diagnostic tests, and good clinical suspicion.

Abstract Calgranulin B is a small calcium-binding protein with several immunological functions mainly involved in chronic inflammation
and cancer. It can participate in recruitment of neutrophils and leukocytes in inflamed tissue, oxidant/antioxidant balance,
adhesion of neutrophils to fibronectin, and regulation of apoptosis. In a previous proteomic study, we found that calgranulin
B was up-regulated in the [...]

Conclusion:
The sensitivity and accuracy of TBNA are high in small cell lung cancer, followed by other types of carcinoma, sarcoidosis, and tuberculosis, and low for lymphoproliferative diseases. The NPV of TBNA for all individual pathologies is low. The size of the adenopathy and the presence of indirect signs at the puncture site predict the achievement [...]
