Sarcoidosis rarely manifests by involving the cranial nerves exclusively. A 35-year-old woman presented with bilateral cavernous sinus masses and symptoms of trigeminal neuropathy. Computed tomography and magnetic resonance imaging suggested an intracranial tumor, favoring a meningioma. The patient underwent emergent surgical decompression and tumor excision. Histopathology of [...]

Conclusion: If isolated neurosarcoidosis is diagnosed early it will save a costly and invasive work-up. Radiographic and laboratory studies may aid in diagnosis but no studies are pathognomonic. Neurosarcoidosis is diagnosed by a combination of imaging, diagnostic tests, and good clinical suspicion.

We present
a case in which a patient with pulmonary sarcoidosis developed polycythemia vera few months later. A review of literature
shows that sarcoidosis precedes neoplasms and tends to be a chronic active variety. Our case, by contrast, has been responsive
to steroid therapy.

We report three new cases of mono-localized, purely cutaneous IFN[alpha]-induced sarcoidosis. In addition, an extensive review of the literature, with special attention to skin involvement, was performed through a PubMed search. The analysis of the retrieved articles showed that cutaneous lesions are frequent signs of IFN-induced sarcoidosis. Skin involvement is documented in 56% of the [...]

We report 4 renal transplant recipients with erythema nodosum. Erythema nodosum is a cutaneous inflammatory reaction located on the anterior aspects of the lower extremities. It may be associated with a wide variety of diseases, including infections (as in Cases 1 and 2), sarcoidosis, rheumatologic diseases, inflammatory bowel diseases (as in Case 3), medications (as [...]

Abstract Sarcoidosis is a multisystem disease of unknown origin. Granulomatous bone involvement has an overall incidence of 1–13%.
This incidence is probably underestimated in certain patient series because bone involvement is often asymptomatic. The small
bones of hands and feet are the most common localizations, while skull, knee, rib, pelvic and sternal localizations are rarely
reported. [...]

We report two cases of sarcoidosis following Cushing’s syndrome. A 43 year-old male developed cutaneous sarcoidosis and mediastinal lymphadenopathy after resection of an ACTH-secreting pituitary microadenoma. A 32 year-old female showed cutaneous sarcoidosis, arthralgia, mediastinal lymphadenopathy and elevation of angiotensin-converting enzyme and interleukin 2-receptor concentrations after traumatic adrenal bleeding, which ceased formerly undiagnosed hypercortisolism caused [...]
